A big part of what the Gentlemen are trying to do with these TLG events/projects is to get the word out about " Doing it yourself " mentality

Taking matters into your own hands.

It could be from starting a new endeavor or going skating by yourself just to get that fix. 

Mike Henry (aka Mike Dyke )is one of those people that decided to take matters into his own hands. 

For Mike it was about not having any skate jams at his local skate park ( Markham).

The local skate shop closed down ( DBS ) due to "Mall margins" and so the big boys didn't feel any common bond with the skaters to really put on events at the park anymore.

Thus making Mr Henry start having Best trick jams 

Mike explains about the next jam to me. 

" It's just a simple best trick competition taking place on Saturday May30/09. The Competition will begin at 1:00 pm.  It's $10 for entry  and $20 cash per obstacle. It's all taking place at the Markham park ! The turn outs have been good the last few times,but we'd like more people to come out. It's chill, you meet some new heads and win some dough! "

This contest is on the day after the  PUSH PAY OUT / BEATNUTS show
